Cascades Alpine Ice Routes

What:

Steep snow and ice climbing in the summer time is part of what makes climbing in the Cascades feel like a true big mountain experience. The range is home to a handful of classic icy north faces, and some, like the North ridge of Baker boast nearly 4000’ of technical terrain. These routes are classic alpine adventures and are some of our favorites to guide. Confidence in one’s ability to move efficiently in WI3 ice terrain and competence with steep cramponing techniques are prerequisites for these climbs.
