Western Climbing Guides is a Western Colorado based guide service specializing in custom, private trips. We are an owner-operated collective focused on developing a progression for our clients to meet their long term climbing goals. We don’t want to just drag you to the top of the mountain, we want to provide you with the skills and experience to thrive and excel in the mountains. Many of our clients have been with us for years, honing their craft and broadening their experience in the mountains. We operate in locations all over the country and abroad. Not all guide services are created equally. At WCG, we share a lifelong passion for climbing and guiding others towards their goals and believe in pursuing the highest level of training possible for the trips that we guide. Because of this, all guides at WCG are AMGA certified Rock and Alpine Guides which comes as a result of years of dedication to professional training with the American Mountain Guides Association. Through this high level of training we seek to raise the bar on risk management and client care, so that we can deliver our clients the safest and most rewarding experience possible. Whether we are onsighting an objective in a remote and exotic location, or climbing close to home on one of our home crags, we want our clients to know that their guides have the experience and knowledge to keep them safe and set them up for success.

Our trips are booked at a low client to guide ratio and we rarely offer mixed group trips. That means you’ll get more one-on-one attention and have more control over scheduling and summit success. At Western Climbing Guides we believe in building strong, lasting relationships with our clients so that we can climb together for years to come.
